Custom Orders Program & Expert Alterations

West Coast Leather San Francisco offers a Custom Orders with a program for our clients from around the fashion world. In addition, our only USA location offers Expert Alterations, Repairs, Reconditioning Restoration, with an emphasis on Restyling. We also offer repurposing of vintage garments or bags into wearable pieces of art for the discrimination client. We take pride in our expert alterations and work with each client normally with a fitting to achieve our clients goals. We also have a Blog by Dr Leather with leather care recommendations and information about our expert alterations and what's are the trends happening in Vintage Leather Repurposing and Restyling that is become a trend at our West Coast Leather Boutique with clients young and old consulting us for our recommendations and services.

Alteration basic pricing examples 

Shorten Sleeves No Zipper $75 

Shorten Sleeves with Zipper $100

Replace entire lining women's or men's short jacket $175 to $200

Take in Leather Pants $100 includes sliming the leg width and waistband

Add leather to make a garment bigger \ larger is something we are capable of with some limitations. For example to make a jacket bigger on both sides and the sleeves bigger in the arm width is $200.00

Replace Zippers Normally the front zipper replacement is $75 for women's and $100 for men's 

Snaps replacement normally $25 per snap estimate 

Depending on replacing certain zippers we may have to contact different vendors for the proper replacement color of zipper which can add up to the process. Normal alterations take one week to process 

CUSTOM ORDERS:

We are famous for our custom orders, made to the client's satisfaction.  We will work with you to design something to your specifications such as:

1) Color: choosing from hundreds of swatches of leather and different colors of hardware for buttons, zippers, and snaps (black, gold, silver, bronze, etc.)

2) Material: Lambskin leather, stretch leather, cowhide, suede, vegan leather, and crocodile 

3) Specialty additions: Appliques, patchwork, custom artwork, custom logos

4) Stitching: Adding in unique stitching such as cross-lace stitching

5) Shape and fit: slim fit or boxier styles; racer style, motorcycle jackets, bomber jackets, trench, Mandarin collar, blazers, long coats, dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, bustiers, corsets, vests, and tops, leather shirts.... See our men's and women's styles on our website for more ideas.

 CUSTOM ALTERATIONS AND TAILORING:

We tailor the following leather clothing styles: jackets, coats, dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, shirts, corsets, and more. We accept items from other brands and stores, including vintage items.  For special occasions, such as for an event, we can turn around the item in two business days,  For other items, please expect approximately 30-45 calendar days' turnaround time.
