A huge trend we are seeing with our clients of all ages is acquiring vintage leather jackets, repurposing and restyling them.  Every day we are getting 2-3 phone calls with requests for these services.  So what does this usually entail?  Any or all of the following items:

1) Slimming the arms

2) Reconditioning, which takes three different treatments

3) Refreshing or changing the lining

4) Adding buttons or new zippers

5) Re-stitching all broken seams

This allows for our clients to wear unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are sometimes not able to be found anywhere else.  Vintage clothes are always a very popular item because they oftentimes have classic lines, and are made of durable material that will stand the test of time. Or, it may hold a special significance for a person, such as a family heirloom.

We have also done a lot with repurposing special items such as luxury Louis Vuitton bags.  There is a huge trend in repurposing items whether to have a one-of-a-kind item, or for upcycling.  In addition, one of the purposes of vintage is sustainable fashion.
